Sep 13, 2006 · Suddenly, for no obvious reason, Internet Explorer has started blocking downloads from safe, legitimate websites. For instance, when I try to download Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool, a message flashes up at the top of the screen saying Internet Explorer has stopped me from visiting a potentially harmful site (or words to that effect).
