As of a few months ago, I would have said that 10.6 would have been the oldest "usable" OS X. However, now most apps require 10.8 or later. (Google Chrome is 10.9 or later). It's not that I don't have access to the compatible older version, I have multiple archived copies . The problem is the new incompatible version automatically installs over the old compatible version, despite not being able to run on this platform, requiring me to constantly go back and restore my archived copy. This happens at least once daily. Jul 26, 2015 · If you have already upgraded to Yosemite, use your backups and 'roll back' to an earlier OS X such as Mavericks though some users still report issues with LP9 under any later OS X version than Mountain Lion.
