I am trying to measure DDR3 memory data transfer rate through a test. According to the CPU spec. maximum theoritical bandwidth is 51.2 GB/s. This should be the combined bandwidth of four channels, meaning 12.8 GB/channel. However, this is a theoretical limit and I am curious of how to further increase the practical limit in this post.

The file sizes were 995MB, 748MB, 730MB, and 644MB. The 3119mb of data took 164 seconds to transfer, which equates to an average transfer speed of 19MB/s. For larger transfers (e.g. 5GB+) the speed drops below 18MB/s.! Data transmission, digital transmission or digital communications is the physical transfer of data (a digital bit stream or a digitized analog signal[1]) over a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communication channel. Examples of such channels are copper wires, optical fibers, wireless communication channels, storage media and computer buses. The data transfer rate of a drive (also called throughput) covers both the internal rate (moving data between the disk surface and the controller on the drive) and the external rate (moving data between the controller on the drive and the host system). The measurable data transfer rate will be the lower (slower) of the two rates. Dec 14, 2016 · The physical layer (PHY) rate. It is the maximum speed that data can move across a wireless link between a wireless client and a wireless router. User activities like file transfer and web content browsing happen at the application layer. The rate obtained at the application layer will be much lower than the physical layer rate. It had only slightly slower transfer speeds than the Samsung T5 during this test, hovering around 143 MB/s throughout. Considering it’s using USB 3.1 and SATA 600, like the Samsung T5, it’s Data Transfer Rate Test between two end points (computers) Hello, Is there any specific test procedure or document to test data transfer speed in the form of file transfer or tcp/udp streaming between two end points connected one computer on FastEther Port on Catalyst 3750 to the distribution Cisco 4000series connecting to access switch Cat

LAN Speed Test (Lite) is fully functional with no time limits, etc. - only some of the more advanced features are disabled. LAN Speed Test was designed from the ground up to be a simple but powerful tool for measuring file transfer, hard drive, USB Drive, and Local Area Network (LAN) speeds (wired & wireless). First, you pick a folder to test to. Jun 26, 2011 · Any tools to test HDD transfer rate? I just purchase a new Seagate SATA III HDD, and would like to check whether the transfer rate is faster or not, Does anyone have any suggestions on any tool to perform the test? Run the test a few times more later in the day, a few hours apart, to get an idea of the average readouts. What does this test tell you?
