If Windows does not detect your serial (COM) ports, you may need to have a computer technician check to see if the ports are disabled in the BIOS settings. Serial (COM) Ports are detected by Windows and there are no conflicts, but the foot pedal still does not work. There may be a problem with the serial port itself. If it's not, then you have a double NAT issue. But if you have the same IP and still not opening the ports, you may try to check it directly to the modem. There are some ISPs that blocks uncommon ports and you may have to contact them to open it.--- Check with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) to make sure the port(s) are not blocked on the service end. Some residential ISPs block certain ports, such as port TCP:80, to prevent users from hosting websites on residential internet lines. Contact Zyxel Technical support for additional support. Re: Ports not opening after being forwarded. Apart from setting up port forwarding on the router, there are two other important requirements to fulfill before a port test will report success. The router's Internet/WAN port must have a public IP address.
